Taking A Trip Down Memory Lane - Chapter 6 & 7

Home Nugget #15 of the 5th Term
Assigned on Wednesday June 10, 2009
Due on Thursday June 11, 2009

Students agreed that Chapter 6 is among the more dense sections of the Algebra I textbook and so today allowed us an opportunity to work all the way up to the theme of absolute value functions and their related graphs. We need further time tomorrow to flesh out the ideas in absolute value inequalities and graphing systems of linear inequalities.

Tonight presents another assessment opportunity to students to alter their fifth term grade. It is a short-answer type assessment sheet titled Chapter 7 Test Form 2C and will be graded as a 40 point quiz grade.

Students must write all answers on the question sheet itself and attach all related work on separate paper.

Students can also skip question #12 as it is misprinted on the paper. They will not be penalized for doing so. Students are encouraged to use their textbooks, their own notes, prior exams and certainly to collaborate in order to understand the concepts. Bear in mind that this lesson is part of an ongoing attempt to prepare for our math final exam.
