THE FOLLOWING LESSON IS WORTH 16 POINTS! You have a week to complete the assignment which is comprised of studying and solving problems from three different lessons, all relating to statistics and probability. We spoke at length about the challenges presented by these sorts of independent study assignments and students seem to acknowledge that there should be an emphasis on understanding as opposed to coverage, of material.
The hope is that by next Thursday, students will have sufficient exposure and practice in attempting problems to engage in a real discussion about topics of statistics and probability.
